Christopher started a classical education in music at the age of six. In his youth he has been influenced by the music of At The Drive-In, Nirvana and Deep Purple as well as the music of pianists like Oscar Peterson, Lennie Tristano and Erroll Garner. In 2008 he started to study jazz piano at the conservatory for music in Dresden and was awarded with the price for chamber music in 2012. Christopher recently has been part of various projects such as the dance production „Choreographers on the move“ by the Semper Opera Dresden, solo piano work for the CD production „In the curved air“ devoted to US singer-songwriter Chris Whitley and the classic-jazz-crossover project „In Flow“ which he led as a conductor. Besides he is an active collaborator of the local jazz scene in Dresden. He plays with „Slow Loris Quartet“, „Sina Rien Quartet“ and as a sideman in various other projects. Christopher teaches jazz piano and vocal coaching at the conservatory for music „Carl Maria von Weber Dresden“ and is recently working on his debut album for solo piano „Scapula Alata“.
